Cognitive Screening

Cognitive impairment may occur as a result of a variety of causes and manageable underlying conditions related to but not limited to cardiovascular and/or metabolic conditions, sleep disorders, hormonal imbalances, depression, chronic pain, post-concussion, post-stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, ADHD, autism, and neurological, focal, vision and hearing impairment, or chronic conditions such as type-2 diabetes. Cognitive impairment may also be a result of long-term poor lifestyle choices such as substance abuse, sedentarism, and unhealthy diets.

Our cognitive screening test is an objective measurement of your cognitive function.  The test takes 5-10 minutes, and the results are discussed immediately after the screening.

The screening takes into account a variety of functions, including visuospatial awareness, attention span, language, memory, delayed recall and abstraction. After completing the screening, you’ll receive a cognitive rating that indicates a specific level of cognitive function.  From here, we will discuss brain training strategies, hearing aid recommendations, or refer for further testing.
